European Pond
Conservation Network
(EPCN), the network of organizations for the Promoting awareness,
understanding and conservation of ponds in European landscape,
encourages you to participate in the 3rd EPCN Workshop. This event takes
place every two years and brings together experts from some European
countries.
This
network (EPCN) was launched in Geneva on October 30, 2004, as an issue
of the 1st European Pond Workshop, coorganised by the University of
Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (EIL), University of Geneva (LEBA),
University of Toulouse III and Ponds Conservation Trust. Thereafter, the
second workshop have taken place in Tolousse (France, february 2006),
coorganised by the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland,
University of Geneva, University of Toulouse III, Ponds Conservation,
Pôle-Relais Mares et Mouillères, University of Leuven).
The 3rd Workshop is
being organised by the Conselleria de Medi Ambient, Aigua Urbanisme i
Habitatge of the
Generalitat Valenciana
(Regional Government of the Valencian Region, Spain). The audience of
this event are those interested in the preservation and sustainable use
of the European ponds from all stances (scientific, management,
education). Please, mind that students will benefit from reduced fees.
Also, all attendants inscribed before 31st January 2008 will pay reduced
fees.
